Lesson Two At Admiral Seymour

May 1, 2013

Growing Chefs! is piloting its intermediate program this year in four elementary schools. I had the opportunity to visit Ms. Wilks class at Admiral Seymour.

The other day I was helping out with a lesson at Seymour Elementary, in this lesson the students got to plant their garden. It was a lot of fun teaching the students how to plant their garden and they all were so excited. The students couldn’t wait for their gardens to grow and they were even asking if they could name their plants and talk to them! We told them this would be great as plants are similar to people and with more love and care they will grow better.

It was such a pleasure to work and this school with all the wonderful students!
