Meet Your Secret Chef
Joining the Growing Chefs! Local Food Challenge for a second year in a row is Your Secret Chef, Karen Dar Woon. Karen offers all sorts of great cooking services and classes, including canning workshops. And this week, she’s donating her canning workshop fees to the Local Food Challenge.
Karen is a long time supporter of the local food movement, and is currently a board member for the Richmond Sharing Farm, which grows food for the Richmond Food Bank and community meal programs.
This year, Karen’s garden will be supplying part of her produce for the challenge. Her garden includes peas, carrots, beans, tomatoes, tomatillos, herbs, a failing artichoke, and a lemon tree (lucky!!).
